چکیده

Formation of sporangia induced by light in Pilobolus species has been reported by several workers (1, 4, 6, 9, 12, 13, 14). Since 1952 synthetic media containing specific growth factors: hemin (8, 10, 11), coprogen (2, 3, 15), or ferrichrome (7, 9) have been used for culturing members of this genus. Because Pilobolus can be grown on synthetic media and sporangium formation is induced with light, this genus has been suggested for use in studying problems dealing with sporangium development (9). The present research deals with the study of various synthetic media to determine which would be best suited for sporangium

An investigation on the effects of photoperiod, aging and culture media onvegetative growth and sporulation of rice blast pathogen pyricularia oryzae

Pyricularia oryzae (Tel. Magnaporthegrisea) is currently used as a fungal model for plantmicrobeinteraction studies as well as an indicative model for anticancer drug discovery. Thepresent study introduces the optimal condition in which P. oryzae grows and sporulates beston common culture media. We have considered three fungal culture media, i.e. PDA, PCA andWA, based on which P. oryzae sporula...

In 1926 for the first time Dobell and laid low synthesized and used Hsre+ s ( horse serum, ringer, egg+ starch rice) as a culture medium for growth of E.histolytica. since then this medium along with tens of other media have been used for growth of E.histolytica and other intestinal microorganisms. This medium has been used worldwide in many diagnostic and research laboratories. In Iran, in ...

Nutritional Requirements of Bacillus thuringiensis During Different Phases of Growth, Sporulation and Germination Evaluated by Plackett-Burman Method

The effects of different sources of carbon, nitrogen and some of trace elements on cultivation of Bacillus thuringiensis H14 were studied. Glucose, glycerol, sodium acetate, (NH4)2SO4, corn steep liquor, yeast extract, hydrolyzed casein, Ca2+, Mg2+ and Mn2+ were the main parameters evaluated by Plackett-Burman statistical method. Medium Promoting Sporulation of Bacillus larvae and Metabolism of Medium Components.

A new medium, designated TMYGP broth, was developed that allowed the honeybee pathogen Bacillus larvae NRRL B-3650 to produce up to 5 x 10 spores per ml of culture (microscopic count). This species normally sporulates poorly, if at all, in artificial broth media. An aeration rate lower than that normally used to cultivate other Bacillus species was required for sporulation. During the exponenti...

Optimization of nutritional requirements for mycelial growth and sporulation of entomogenous fungus Aschersonia aleyrodis Webber

The objective of the present study was to investigate the optimal nutritional requirements for mycelial growth and sporulation of entomopathogenic fungus Aschersonia aleyrodis Webber by orthogonal layout methods. Herein the order of effects of nutrient components on mycelial growth was tryptone > Ca(2+) > soluble starch > folacin, corresponding to the following optimal concentrations: 1.58% Sol...
